10 Good Things

Everyday, before I go to bed, I try to write down 10 Good Things that have happened that day. It’s not as easy as it sounds!

I don’t always remember to do this, but when I do, it’s so helpful in lifting my mood! Ten is a surprisingly large number, so some days I have to write down stupidly tiny things or things that have happened to other people instead of me in order to reach the target. Whatever I write down, I feel better. I go to bed feeling more contented and wake up the following morning in a better mood, ready to experience another ten positive things.

These posts are a weekly selection of the 70 good things that I should have remembered to write down that week. I won’t share everything I write down in a week as obviously some of it is quite personal, but hopefully you can get an idea of the small things I make myself focus on during darker days in order to find the light again. 🙂
